Hello Dear Community!
Congratulations on making it through the holidays and I hope you had some moments of wonder and warmth!
I have a surprisingly light and optimistic feeling about 2022 and a sense that a willingness to float, flow and remain flexible will serve me well. As we transition to the new year I am anxious/excited (two sides of the same coin) and I am grateful.
How are you feeling about letting go and moving forward into the new year?
I feel most grateful for:
My relationship with my husband and how we are always learning and growing together
My willingness to practice and grow my boundaries and the way this deepens my integrity, expands my freedom and enables me to love and serve
My wonderful clients!
Feeling more comfortable with and learning more about leveraging technology to connect, serve and be creative
My trust in the Mystery
Time spent in the sunshine in a bikini
Sustainable and necessary improvements in my health and diet (bye bye gluten xo) Thank God for Wholesome Bakery.
2021 taught me to let go...
I will likely send information next month about Embracing the Shadow. We are currently paused for resting and wintering. Thank you so much to those who have expressed interest!
Wishing you a Happy New Year and I look forward to connecting and finding out what 2022 is all about together!
Currently Enjoying:
ARAS - The Archive for Research in Archetypal Symbolism is a pictorial and written archive of mythological, ritualistic, and symbolic images from all over the world and from all epochs of human history (description from website). A wonderful friend gifted me membership for Christmas!
This LAZBOY Chair. We did it. We ordered matching LAZBOY chairs with lumbar support.
Marlee Grace's newsletter and Newsletter Class.
Making soup with bone broth
Reruns of Perry Mason - so relaxing... the cars and outfits are amazing and so is Della Street!
Palm Springs - We love it! We have been spending more time here over the last year and a half and have fallen more and more in love with the mountains, the desert and the sunshine. Also the movie Palm Springs is great!
January is Capricorn season and is linked to the Devil archetype in the Tarot.
This archetype is about reveling in our humanity! It is also about gaining some freedom and perspective around the craving and aversion that are such a part of being human. The Devil archetype is different the devil depicted in Christianity. This Devil is instead a trickster, conspiring for our enjoyment and evolution. Many Tarot decks depict this archetype as the ancient Pan. This archetype teaches us to face our darkness and our difficulties so that we can gain confidence, wisdom and balance in our lives. This archetype inspires us to throw off the chains of addiction and to seek freedom and independence of spirit.
Questions for Reflection and Working With the Devil Tarot Archetype
Are there any addictions standing in the way of more freedom and wellness in your life?
Are you willing to own your humanity and supposed "flaws" in a new way?
How could you share more about your challenges in a way that reduces shame, connects you to other people and opens you up to new support and new perspectives?
* I do not anticipate taking any new clients until at least Spring of 2022. Thank you so much to those of you who have reached out to check in - please don't hesitate to do so. When some space opens up I will be sending an email which outlines my availability and a bit more about how I work.
If you are looking for a therapist sooner rather than later, I recommend Jo Sopko, Ashley Hamilton and Jeremi Hansen at Church Street Counseling Center. Therapy den is also a great resource and for couples therapists trained in the psychobiological approach to couples counseling (like me) you can go here.
I do have a few openings for Jungian Tarot - archetypal deep dive sessions. These sessions are different than psychotherapy and you can book one here. During one of the sessions we can look at your unique Tarot constellation based on your birthdate and also explore which archetypes are influencing the current year based on your birth information.
